Ulla Preeden continues as the rector of Tartu Health Care College

To elect the rector of Tartu Health Care College, an electoral council was convened on May 31, which decided to propose to the Minister of Education and Research to sign a new employment contract with the current rector Ulla Preeden.

Ulla Preeden graduated from the University of Tartu where she also defended her doctoral thesis in 2009. Her main research interests were geophysics and mineralogy. In 2011-2016, Ulla Preeden was the county governor of Põlva. She has previously worked in the Department of Geology at the University of Tartu.
 
The rector was elected by the seven-member electoral council, involving two representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research, two representatives of the College Advisory Board, two representatives of the College Council, one of whom was a student, and a representative of the employers. The rector’s new term of office is beginning on July 1, lasting for five years.
